How To Create a Profitable Online MLM Business: Monetize It

For those of you that are new to Network Marketing and more-so an online MLM business I want to uncover something for you that a lot of MLM business people do to supplement the income that they earn through the MLM company that they joined.  And not only is what I’m about to talk about going to supplement your primary MLM opportunity but it will  provide you with cash flow while you build your MLM downline in your primary business.

I’m talking about monetizing.  What’s that, you ask.  It means to cater to a specific audience.  For your MLM online business it means you should create a website that will cater to people that need information and products themselves to help build their mlm business.

Therefore, here are 5 things that other successful online MLM business owners do and you can too to monetize your website to generate cash flow while you build your MLM downline:

Promote Affiliate Products.
This is really a no-brainier and is ridiculously easy to do.  Affiliate products are products that have been created by someone in which you promote on your website.  When someone clicks on the link that directs you to that product, you will earn a commission off of the sale of that item.  To get affiliate links, you need to sign up to become an affiliate member for a company that offers the program.  Joining an affiliate program is free.
What you want to keep in mind when you’re promoting an affiliate product, however is you want the product or service that relates to an MLM business.  Don’t promote just any random product that doesn’t relate for people will see that you’re out to simply make money – and you’ll end up making very few sales.

Note: The great thing about affiliate products is you don’t have to deal with a merchant account to get paid.  All of this is done through the person that created the product.  Typically you provide a Paypal user name in which your share gets deposited in once a sale is made through your affiliate link.

Create Your Own Products.
This one may take a little time for you to produce depending on the product that you want to create and sell.  This can be a huge advantage over a sale of an affiliate product because you keep 100% of the profit.  Furthermore, by creating products with great value helps brand you (do not help promote your MLM business opportunity which could be against their policy anyway.  Instead promote yourself, lead with value and show through the value you provide why you would be a good upline to an mlm prospect).

Create Training Videos.
These videos can be about anything that will help someone that can apply to their online MLM business.  Again, this should relate to the MLM industry because it’s all about catering to this specific industry and niche.  The videos don’t have to be very long.  They can be a few minutes on how to do whatever.
Once you create a training video, get a Youtube account if you don’t have one, upload it, title it, and provide a link back to your website (which is all entered in a box when you go through the upload process).
Doing so creates what is called a backlink to your website which is something that helps move your webpage higher up when getting indexed in the search engines.

Provide An Opt-In Form.
Providing an Opt-In form on your webpage or blog is your m.ney maker.  Why?  Ever hear the Network Marketing quote, “the m.ney is in the list.”  An Opt-In on your page is going to get people on your email subscriber list which is going to help you make more money.
To create an Opt-In from you need to sign up for what is called an email auto responder like Aweber.
Once you sign up with them simply follow the steps on creating one, and place it on your site.  You can find videos (I’m sure) at Youtube on how to put one onto your blog.
The offer that you’re promoting on your Opt-In form should be something that can provide great value to your reader and something that’s going to help them.  Also, the best route in which to capture a readers name and email is by providing something for free.  This could be a newsletter that you may want to send out through email every month, training videos, or E-book.
I would suggest, however, before you sign up for an email auto-responder that you focus on getting traffic to your site first because an auto-responder is a monthly expense that you don’t need if you have no traffic to your site, so focus on that first.

I hope that if you’re someone new to Network Marketing and are just getting started with your online MLM business, that you can start to see the big picture on how other Network Marketers generate multiple streams of income outside of any MLM company they may be a part of.

Please feel free to leave your comments below on this post for I look forward to any feedback I receive.

The Smallest Change Can Equal HUGE Results

Perhaps you’ve heard this once before but even the smallest of changes can mean huge results.
This can be the case in your Network Marketing business and I’ll tell you why in just a minute but first I want talk about baseball because this very statement apply s to the sport.  Why?  Well, just picture in your mind what baseball really involves.  Yes, it’s a batter swinging a bat at a ball that is traveling towards them which was thrown by a pitcher.  Think about what is all happening there and what is all involved just for a second – or should I say about 0.4 seconds because this is the amount of time it takes for the ball once leaving the pitchers hand to travel across the plate.  So if you’re the batter you have less than 0.4 seconds to decide if you’re going to swing at that pitch.
Now if you swing 1/100th of a second too soon the ball will go foul down the left side of the field – and if you swing 1/100th of a second too late the ball will go found down the right side of the field.  Hence, the smallest change can equal a huge result.

A great motivational speaker by the name of Anthony Robbins talks about making the smallest changes that can equal huge results.  And one of the things he talks about is “certainty.”  When you’re in a state of certainty your posture will change for your shoulders will go back a step and your chest will come forward a bit and your confidence will be higher.  Lower your confidence and your shoulders will come forward and your chest will lower.  Your certainty is now gone at this point.

So how does this apply to Network Marketing?  Well, when you’re at a Network Marketing event and you’re networking with other people you want to be certain of yourself that you can stand and talk amongst other network marketers.  If you slouch down you’re certainty will be lost and you’ll start avoiding people – and even may veer towards a wall where nobody else is.
This also apply s when you’re working your business at home.  Go into working your business making sure you’ve made the small physical change so you become “certain” when working your business.  This little change can mean huge results in the output that you create.

Network Marketing “No-No’s”

Want to know something that I just cannot stand?  It’s opening up my in-box to check my email and there’s ALWAYS spam emails in there.  I’m sure you’ve gotten them to.  And what sickens me even more is that some of them are Network Marketers that are dying for your attention.  I’m not talking about the Network Marketers that email you after you’ve gotten on their email list – No.  I’m talking about the ones that get your email address from….well, somewhere – and sends out these emails persuading you to buy something.
It’s just a shame that this is the type of marketing that people in our industry resort to in order to fill their pockets with cash.  they’re crooks.

This is NOT the type of marketing that you should be doing if you’re wanting to build a long-term sustainable Network Marketing business my friends.  So don’t do it because all you’re going to do is piss off a lot of people that are serious about their success in this industry.

Another No-no when it comes to Network Marketing is to never keep dumping from one MLM company to the next.  Why you may ask?  Because it tells people that you are not willing to put in the work.  It also tells people that you cannot make the commitment to stick with a company.  And more importantly it tells people that there is something wrong with you – and not the company because – in truth – that’s really where the issue is.

Here’s a third No-no that you need to follow as well and that is to never promote every freaking product that comes out on the market to your list.  The reason why is because all you’re going to do is completely destroy all of the credibility and trust that you’ve worked so hard to gain from the people on your list.
They’re going to see right through you and you’ll never be seen as a leader but rather the opposite – a loser, a fake.

Be honest with yourself – and honest with all of the people in your list.  Promote only products that you know who the creator is – and trust the products that you create.  But mores0 that the product over delivers based on it’s price.

It may be especially tempting for you to try any of these methods even just once when they’ve struggled so long in their business and they’re just looking for their first break through.  But you must realize that the big players in the Network Marketing industry didn’t get to where they are by cheating their way to the top.  They got there by being honest and genuine.

The Key to Network Marketing Success Is To. . .

Tonight post is coming at you a little later than I tend to write them – but that’s ok.  Why?  Because I’ve made a commitment to write 5-6 blog posts a week regardless if I’m exauhsted (and my eyes are dragging like they are now).
But enough of that for that’s not what today’s post is about.  But rather the keys to Network Marketing success – which is to learn marketing and apply it to your business.

Now, I was going to write about another topic but this one struck me and felt I needed to get this out because it hit me shortly after I had gotten off of a webinar this evening – which was fantastic.
I learned some valuable points which I’ll be sharing with you in a moment but before I do I want to talk about what the webinar is about which was branding.

Yeah, I know you’re thinking, “but I already know about branding and have heard it many times before s0 big deal.”
Well, I couldn’t agree with you more.  As a matter of fact I was ready to leave the webinar after having listened in for about a half an hour because I was thinking the very same thing.  At the time I didn’t feel it was going to be very valuable to me and I figured I could be spending my time writing my post and working on other marketing.

But the little voice in my head (no not litterally) told me I should stick around for the remainder of the webinar.  I gotta tell ya, I’m sure glad I did because I picked up some valuable tips on the subject of Branding.

As I said I’ll get to those tips I received but first I want to the title of this blog post…the key to Network marketing success…learn and apply.  Now what does this have to do with the webinar I saw tonight which was about Branding?  Well, as I said before I figured I didn’t need to stick around to learn about Branding because I understand what it means.  However, what I should have reminded myself is that in the world that we are living in which everything is moving at a record pace, things change very rapidly.  And this also follows through with marketing.

So what  you’ve got to realize is that you cannot simply learn online marketing one time from one source and think it’s going to be very effective in the market place for the next 20-30 years.  Not at all my friend.  What you must be aware of is that you must keep on learning marketing skills because things are always changing.

Now, I’m not saying everything in Network Marketing is changing so drastically every 6 to 12 months.  But it does change – and you need to keep learning new things and apply them to  your Network Marketing business.

Ok, so back to the valuable pointers that I’ve picked up on creating a brand for yourself – even if you’re completely brand new to the world of Network Marketing.  And they are to ask yourself these series of questions:

  • What Are Your Credentials (any college or advance degrees, jobs that you’ve had, promotions/awards that you’ve earned)?
  • What Are Your Skills (skills before coming online, skills aquired since coming online)?
  • What’s Your Story (past: where have you been? Struggles you’ve faced?, present: Struggles you’ve overcome, Future: Where are you headed)?

What you want to do is take the time and write these down.  Don’t get lazy and go over them and answer them in your head because you won’t think of everything s0 get yourself a pad of paper and write your answers down.

Now…

After you’ve taken an inventory of all of the things you’ve written down I want you to think about what skills, stories, etc. can you use that will help you connect with your prospect?

This is something anybody in Network Marketing can do.  This is a huge help for people that are litterally just getting started because this will help you connect with people that are out there looking for the same thing that you are – freedom.

Freedom from their full-time or part-time job.  Freedom from financial debt.  Freedom to have the time to spend with their family because they’ve learned how to grow a successful Network Marketing business – from YOU.

How Are Starting Your Conversation With Your MLM Prospects?

I was pondering off and on again all day about what exactly I would write about in my blog post tonight – and I almost decided to focus on other marketing that needed to be done until I, for some reason, was thinking about something that I had learned quit a while ago in this industry.  And this one thing is being preached all the time that you should not do because it turns away more of your MLM prospects than it attracts.  Yet, there are still so many MLM distributors that do this.

S0 what is it you wonder?

It’s leading with your MLM opportunity when talking to your MLM prospects.  It doesn’t matter which method you use to communicate with them for the first time be it through the phone, through email,  through a webinar, or in person.  Never jump right in and start talking to them about your business.

You’re going to sound like a salesman (even though you are considered one)- perhaps even a pushy one through many MLM prospects eyes.  Nobody wants to deal with a pushy salesman.  Not you – not me – not anyone.  We all tend to get a little defensive and take a step back when we’re dealing with people like this.

I’m not going to say that you’re not going to make any sales – but you will.  However – there is a chance that you’re going to sign up a prospect that was too nervous to say, “I’m not interested” to you over the phone.  These people will end up requesting a refund after a week or so.

So what have you gained other than temporary satisfaction that you recruited someone?  Nothing.
Instead, introduce yourself and explain in a sentence or two as to what you’re looking for in a MLM prospect.  Why?  Because then  you don’t come off as a pushy salesman and you’ll then start to gain a little trust with them right away.  Then you should turn your focus to your MLM prospect asking them a series of questions to get to know them and understand what it is that they’re looking for – and to see if they would be a good fit to be a part of your team.

If you do it this way, you’ll be more relaxed and talk naturally to your MLM prospects which will make you sound far more genuine.

Simple Blueprint to Start A Online Business

If you’ve stumbled across this blog post, then chances are that you’re curious on how to start a online business because you’re looking for either two things.  A way to supplement your current income or perhaps you’re setting your goals a little higher and are looking to replace your income by starting an online business.

Whichever category you fit into I applaud you for wanting to make a change in your life rather than wait for that change to happen.

So in this article I’m simply going to go over a basic blueprint on how to start a online business and generate an income.  The rest of it will be up to you – and what I mean is that nobody can lead you to success.  Only you can through hard work and a commitment to want to succeed.

And with that let’s begin…

First thing to start a online business is to do some market research and find a product or products that you’d like to promote.  The best way to get started is in affiliate marketing which is promoting other peoples products and earning a certain percentage of commission from each sale.
Now this may sound pretty easy but it isn’t for there are literally millions of products you can choose to sell in every possible niche market.  Thus the best advice is to take the time research a niche market that a lot of people are searching for, but there isn’t an abundance of competition.
Here’s an example:  Skin care products.  HUGE market – s0 it would be hard to market the word “skincare.”  But – if you find keywords like “reduce acne” (which has a search of less than 90K), and find a skin care product that helps with acne, you now have a niche market you can target.
One thing you may want to note is that physical products tend to give you less in affiliate commissions vs. digital products.
One of the big places that people start looking for products to sell in the market that they’ve chosen is through www.clickbank.com.

Second thing you’re going to need after you have a product is a website to promote that product on.  There are a few places that I would start which are ww.squidoo.com, www.blogger.com, and wordpress.com.
Squidoo is completely free – and it’s about as easy as it gets when setting up a Squidoo page.  The problem with a Squidoo page is it doesn’t belong to you.  Thus, you need to abide by Squidoo’s rules – and if you don’t your page can be shut down – and you’re content will be lost.
This all applies to blogger too.   Thus, the best scenario because you’re wanting to start a online business get serious and use WordPress.  WordPress is a free blogging platform (yes I said blogging platform but there are millions of .coms that use wordpress to create a website because it’s easy) which you can use.  The only thing you need to do is purchase a domain name (which can be less than 10 bucks a year) and a company like HostGator that will provide the hosting services for your domain (about 10 bucks a month).
Going this route is the best way because you, then, own the website and all of the content on that website – so you can promote whatever you want and however you want.
To find training on how to use WordPress just do a search at Youtube.com.

Third thing you’ll need to do is start generating traffic.  There are a ton of ways to do this but for anyone that is starting out I would suggest using free methods.  Some of them are article directories like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com.  Here you can write articles about the niche you’re marketing in to attract people looking for information.  Then you can provide a link to your webpage at the bottom of your articles where they could make a purchase.
Another free marketing method is creating a Squidoo lens.  Don’t promote anything on your Squidoo lens but rather again provide links back to your webpage.
The great thing about about using Squidoo and Article directories is that the search engines like Google like them meaning these types of sites give more authority over webpages – and more authority moves them up in the search engine and SEO (for more info on SEO click here).

I’ve just walked you through a simple blueprint on how to start a online business.  One thing you will want to consider doing is that once your first site is up, work consistently on getting traffic to that site.  If, you’re putting in an honest amount of effort to do so, and after a few months there is little traffic to your site, then consider scrapping it and finding a new product either in the same niche or a different niche – and repeat the process.
Once you’ve found a successful one, keep doing the same thing to keep generating an income.

I hope you liked this post.  If so leave a comment below. If you have any further questions on how you could get started, please feel free to contact me by clicking on the Contact button above or simply click here.
